Geocaching adventures in the Great Lakes. I can't think of a more glorious way to spend a day then to put on my red Wellies and my yellow rain slicker, toss my pack on my back, slip a camera in my pocket, and head off to parts unknown. Unless, of course, you add some family and friends to the mix! That's even better.

Wimpy! Wimpy! Wimpy!
Neither Steve or I won a Wimpy Kid trackable, so we decided "discovery" was the next best thing! We wanted that cute Kevin icon! We clicked on the Wimpy Kid travel map (link below), and, after scrolling through pages and pages, found one just over 12 miles from home!
Off we went Saturday morning to a rarely-discovered cache (located of Lakeshore Drive with no parking for miles). I dropped Steve off, and, by the time I circled back, he had the cache & trackable in hand!
Our first stop was to take him to the 10 Years - Annual Roseville Geocaching Event for discovery! It brought big smiles to everyone to see one in person.
History: To promote the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie, the promoters gave away hundreds of these TB's with the proviso that you release them in two weeks. They're rare because I'm sure many will keep them (possibly releasing proxies instead) or many will steal them (because they can't be bought). Some jerk tried to sell his on EBay with an opening bid of $2250!
