It’s Labor Day weekend, and TaGeez & I decided to spend it walking around d the state parks as part of the Michigan State Parks GeoTour. The sun is out, but there is a hint of Autumn in the air - perfect time to head west!
MSPGT2-SL: Hayes State Park GCAPW4N
First park of the day, and we practically had it to ourselves. We parked at the suggested parking spot and then passed several closer ones on the way to the cache. Luckily, we were hoping for a walk. Very cute container at GZ.
MSPGT2-SL: Warren Dunes State Park GCAPW5C
We decided to go for this one as it’s quite the lovely drive to get to.
We had intended to stop and have a picnic here, but the mosquitoes were horrendous on this trail, so we went for the nearby Tapa Taco in Union Pier instead.
MSPGT2-SL: Kal Haven Trail State Park GCAPW4W
Ah, we love the state park series, but we question why, with all the beautiful parks in our state, you would pick this 4-mile round trip featureless trek in middle Michigan? At least there were a few challenge caches along the way to keep things interesting, though.
Nice container in the end, though.
MSPGT2-SL: Fort Custer Recreation Area GCAPW4K
❤️FAVORITE CACHE OF THE DAY!!!❤️
We were worried that we were not going to be able to complete this. The sun was setting by the time we rolled in, and we didn’t know if we would be able to see the animals. No problem here!
Open the hunting locker...
Use the sight to find the four animals...
Using the supplied chart, determine the lock on the smaller container.
Some animals were easier to find than others!
❤️ Fave point for being the most fun we had today! This series has so much creativity!
Next up? The UP!
