We earned our souvenirs with a *surprising* First to Find!
Geocaching adventures in the Great Lakes and beyond. I can't think of a more glorious way to spend a day then to put on my Wellies & my yellow rain slicker, toss my pack on my back, slip a camera in my pocket, and head off to parts unknown with my partner, TaGeez.

Happy International Geocaching Day!
Happy International Geocaching Day!
TaGeez and I were out grabbing another cache today to earn our souvenir. It was a good month for souvenirs - we also earned the 6 souvenirs during the Lost Treasure of Mary Hyde summer geocaching challenge.

Each week geocachers were challenged alone or in teams to find caches or drop trackables to collect gold coins and earn the coveted weekly souvenir plus one event and one final souvenir. We collected 6 in all and earned a free trackable code to boot! Codes are supposed to be sent via email next week.
AHOY!

International Geocaching Day 2016
Happy International Geocaching Day!
TaGeez and I found ourselves alongside WikidKriket geocaching Belle Isle on Saturday. Fitting, eh, for International Geocaching Day? The isle is located in the Detroit River, 1/2-mile from Canada!
We had originally planned to cache in Windsor, but the weather app listed storms all day so we stayed closer to home. Lucky for us, too. Speaking of International, docked on Belle Isle was a Viking ship! The Draken Harald Harfagre, dubbed the world's largest replica Viking vessel, was docked at the Detroit Yacht Club for tours this weekend only! The picture above was taken across the river from the park next to the City of Detroit Mayor's Manoogian Mansion.

You Might Be a Geocacher If.... Earthcache Edition
You Might Be a Geocacher If... you watch the opening prison scene of the original Blues Brothers movie, and your first thought is, "Hey! That's Joliet Limestone!"

Guess I did learn something from that Earth Cache last month!
Happy International Geocaching Day!
TaGeez and I dropped our 7 Deadly Ducks into the Livonia event. Rumor has it if you dropped your ducks into the IGD event early, you may miss the souvenir so make sure you re-date it to today. Happy caching!

Happy International Geocaching Day!
I know I've been quiet lately, but I've been away at a Sales Conference. Then, on Monday, a major storm swung down upon the Midwest, filling my Dad's basement with 6" of sewage!
Through it all, I'm still keeping my streak alive! Today is day #898! And, of course, grabbing a cache today meant my IGD souvenir!
Hope you got yours!
