Geo-Hack: Replacement Logs

It's Fall maintenance time again!

Seems like all our caches need little TLC so TaGeez and I have plan. We have several small geotrails, and, instead of driving cache-to-cache, we're spending each night walking group to group as part of our Biggest Loser challenge at work.

Imagine the size of my eye roll when TaGeez pulled out this octopus at the first GZ (it actually looked worse at the time). We had printed these free replacement log sheets from TechBlazer's site, and TaGeez had these wedged down into his backpack pocket.

Ok, so how to fix this? We look a little suspicious lingering at Stop signs every 528 feet and then hover as we roll up fresh logs. How do we easily store pre-rolled logs?

STEP 1: Pull out the log roller you bought at the latest MEGA event. They are orderable online, too. I keep a spare one in my small Caching Essentials Kit.

STEP 2: Secure your rolled logs using colorful rubber bands bought at the Dollar Store. 500 tiny rubber bands for $1 and originally used for braces.

Bag them up by size and toss them in your geobag. We have our log replacement down to mere seconds!

Note: TechBlazer's logs come in many sizes. We printed, folded and baggied some larger ones, too.
