I've been dragging my feet on writing this post, because I have so many fabulous memories and pictures from the Michigan State Park Centennial GeoTour (MSPCGT)! So, I decided to show you the amazing adventures of Scrapcat, TaGeez, and ShelleyJean through the eyes of Signal the Frog!
Michigan State Parks is celebrating their 100th birthday by sponsoring a geotour of its amazing parks! 100 regular and large caches hidden across 4 regions. Find them all for 4 path tags, 2 geocoins, a geotour souvenir and a lifetime of amazing memories. Because nothing is more beautiful than the State of Michigan!
And Signal couldn't agree more! He had a tour of some of the best sites in Michigan! Starting with a First-to-Find on Belle Isle with Scrapcat!
The tour kicked off Memorial Day weekend, and our adventurous group spent two days tooling around the thumb grabbing smilies and code words. Because I don't want to spoil the fun for others, I won't list the parks under the pictures.
Not kidding... we didn't spot this one immediately.

The following week found our intrepid explorers making a State Park run up US 23 and into the Upper Peninsula. Gosh! It was beautiful. We had 6 days of amazing weather, amazing views, and all that's wonderful in the UP.

The Upper Peninsula trip was 1,826 miles long driving the entire perimeter. We walked 32 miles. Stayed in 5 hotels. Grabbed smilies and code words in 31 State Parks, and added 14 more Michigan counties! TaGeez and I completed our Michigan counties on this trip!
44 State Parks down, and we are enjoying every one of them! More adventures in two weeks!
